I always have lots of wonderful ideas for craft projects. Sometimes they turn out great and then there are other times when I would rather pretend I wasn't the one responsible for creating that particular disaster! More often then not when I am in the middle of a project I wonder what I was thinking in even starting the project. This is a blog chronicling all of my project nightmares, successes and absolute failures!!!

A Murder On My Front Porch

So...do you guys remember a few months back when I spilled the stain ALL OVER my front porch?  And now it looks like a crime scene?

So yeah.  That project started out as this:

There are two of these end tables.  My In-Laws gave them to Tim and I.  I have loved having them and they have been well used and they definitely show it.  I didn't want to get rid of them but they were looking really sad.  Hence the refinishing and the spilling of the stain ALL OVER my front porch.  Did I mention that the stain was ALL OVER my front porch?  Aside from me spilling the stain ALL OVER my front porch, this project was super easy and relatively quick.  I was just so angry at myself for spilling the stain that I put the end table in the garage and left it there for a while.  This weekend I decided to finish what I started and managed to do so WITHOUT spilling stuff all over my front porch!

The Final Product:

And...damn!  Am I good or what?  Pardon the swearing, but really?  Do you see that fine piece of craftsmanship!!!???

Why A Crafty Hell?

I can't tell you how many times I have started a craft project and thought to myself how easy it was going to be.  Most of the time it is the exact opposite.  Almost like a glimpse of Hell, or a nightmare.  So follow my sporadic and inconsistent postings of craft projects.  Maybe they will turn out and maybe they won't.  Your guess is as good as mine.
